About the author

Hi, I'm Bryan.

I never intended to be an author — and certainly not on this subject. But life has a way of redirecting you.

Life took me down a challenging path, and what came out the other side was a decade of studying how some people overcome anxiety disorders — and why others struggle to. Years of learning, mistakes, and growth accumulated into something that started to feel like a waste not to share. So I started writing.

My approach is unusual in one specific way: I'm not a therapist. Not a clinician. Not a researcher with letters after my name. I'm someone who lived through it. And here's the thing I keep coming back to — much of the most valuable advice and guidance I received during my own recovery came from regular people. People who had been through it themselves, and who quietly passed the mindset tools forward to the next person who needed them.

Anxiety recovery advice lands differently when you know the person mentoring has been through it themselves.

That connection is invaluable, and it's something a textbook will rarely give you. So this book is my attempt to do for the next person what was done for me — to bring a straightforward, simple, and often counterintuitive approach to the anxiety community, and to cut through the noise.

These methods work. They've worked for me, and they've worked for the people who taught them to me. My goal in writing this is practical and unromantic: to make these tools easy to digest, easy to implement, and to bring some hope to people who might not have much of it left.

I've been there. I lived it, moved through it, and I want the same for you.
